Course Information
Information about the races that will be run in our event is given below. The start and finish points could be different areas depending on the course. To get details about the course, see the track pages.
Track of Fire and Light
This year, our event will be run between Burdur and Isparta. The main race courses will start in Ağlasun Square, pass through the ancient city of Sagalassos, and finish in Gölcük Nature Park. On the final day of the event, open races (fun run and kids run) will be held at Gölcük Nature Park.
Sagalassos Sky Ultra offers to be a part of a unique experience with its historical tracks. Sagalassos Ancient City, which draws attention with its high altitude, is the most important tourism value of Burdur province. There are many features that make Sagalassos special; it is also one of the largest ancient cities of Turkiye. Psidians eliminated attacks by communicating between ancient cities with fire and light. With this motto, our trails, which follow the same route between Burdur and Isparta, await you, following the footsteps of history. We will present a magnificent visual show to the participants and viewers by using fire towers on the event tracks.
Sagalassos Sky Ultra, first Turkish event in the Skyrunner World Series, offers both challenging courses and no-experience options. The main courses end at the crater lake in Gölcük, where a public run and a children's run will be held. We have five courses, skyrunning: SSM42K and SSR27K, trail running: STR17K, and open: GFR5K and GKR2K.

Skyrunning
SSM42K, SSR27K
Skyrunning is a trail races that goes above 2000m altitude, is famous for its altitude gains and is very technical in terms of terrain. Sky Marathon 42K and Sky Race 27K, among our tracks that involve climbing and descending mountain peaks, are run in this type. The courses will start in Ağlasun (Burdur) on Saturday morning and end in Gölcük (Isparta).
Trail Running
STR17K
Trail running is a type of off-road running that includes village roads, wide gravel roads, natural animal trails, and forest paths. The Trail Run 17K will begin Saturday morning in Ağlasun (Burdur) and finish in Gölcük (Isparta).
Open
GFR5K, GKR2K
These are trails suitable for beginners and require no experience. The Fun Run (5K) and Kids Run (2K) trails begin at Gölcük Lake and end in the same area.

International Accreditations
The races have high-level accreditations. By successfully completing the course, you can obtain international performance index points and degrees.
SWS
The Sagalassos Sky Race 2024 course was elected as the official SWS race. Athletes who placed in the race were included in the world rankings.
UTMB QR
Sagalassos Sky Marathon, Sagalassos Sky Race and Sagalassos Trail Run will give UTMB index points.
ITRA
Sagalassos Sky Marathon, Sagalassos Sky Race and Sagalassos Trail Run will give ITRA performance index points.
INL
Sagalassos Sky Marathon, Sagalassos Sky Race and Sagalassos Trail Run will be part of ITRA National League.
ISF
Sagalassos Sky Marathon and Sagalassos Sky Race will give ISF performance index points.
